Indian Head Massage vs Body Massage

An article written by Jodi Kelly, therapist at JK Holistics, a massage company based in Wimbledon (http://www.jkholistics.co.uk/)

For those new to the benefits of massage therapies I have highlighted two types available: Indian Head Massage & Body Massage

Indian Head Massage
Incorporating the upper back and shoulders, upper arms, neck, face, head and scalp. Massaging the head can help relieve stress that fill our daily lives. Indian Head Massage also helps deal with scalp and hair problems, relieves eye strain, boosts the immune system, relieves muscle tension and helps promote sleep. Indian Head Massage treatments are conducted fully clothed.

Body Massage
Enjoy a relaxing massage from top to toe, incorporating the back and front of legs, back, neck and head and front and back of the arms. This also includes the stomach if you wish. Utilising various therapeutic techniques to work deeply on the body’s tired, sore and stressed muscles, feel the tension melt away.Alternatively you may want a soothing, gentle massage involving long tension relieving strokes throughout the length of the body to help create calmness and tranquillity.

What massages have you had recently and why?  Feel free to share your experience with a comment.
